New Addition to the Family

We are excited to announce the newest member of the XOXO Family, River City Extension! This 8 piece from Toms River, NJ is not something you would expect from the good ol Garden State. This band of early 20 somethings create a nostalgic sound of Americana music infused with elements of world music and indie rock. Imagine The Avett Brothers meet The Talking Heads with a live show that has energy of bands like Gogol Bordello and Man Man and that is just a small glimpse of RIver City Extension. River City Extensions first LP The Unmistakable Man will be released on May 11, 2010. The band is just about to embark on their first US tour so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

Let Me Run announces new singer + new EP

Let Me Run has announced a change of membership and an upcoming EP on Paper + Plastick Records. Former singer and guitar player Travis Omilian and the band parted ways over the summer. He has since been replaced by Dan Maxwell. “I love Meet Me At The Bottom", says Dan. “I'm excited to play some of those songs and add my own touch to them, and I'm excited to write new songs and tap into an area of writing for me that i have not touched in about 5 years. I also have to note that playing with 3 other guys who are ready to live this band is a breath of fresh air to me.” The bands new EP is scheduled to be release on Jan. 10, 2010 on Paper + Plastik. Let Me Run's debut CD/LP "Meet Me at the Bottom" is out today! Do yourself a favor and go pick it up. If your local store does not carry please request that they do. Vinyl Collective Punkrockmusic.com Amazon.com also check out reviews the boys are already getting like this one from Paste Punk Dot Com With the admirable foresight (and good fortune) of putting out THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM's debut full-length, Sink or Swim, it's virtually impossible to fault XOXO Records for shaking hands with LET ME RUN another anthem-blasting, toe-tapping, guitar burning, Jersey punk rock band with a solid grip on rock n' roll signposts. Meet Me At The Bottom is LET ME RUN's debut full-length, but their songwriting abilities seem wholly seasoned, and the ebb and flow of the release is likely a credit to listening to a lot of SOCIAL DISTORTION, BOUNCING SOULS and THE EXPLOSION records. Somewhat corny song titles send the only mixed-message to Meet Me at the Bottom, which otherwise comes off as serious in demeanor, though I don't mind the slight smirk that's generated with songs named "The Count of Monte Fisto," and "I Don't Stomp, I Battle." LET ME RUN prove their viability on just the third song, "Like A Fish," which tightly folds in a sing-along chorus, well-placed gang vocals, and an ear-ringing guitar hook that cuts through the skin. There simply no way that Meet Me At The Bottom doesn't become one of the most talked about punk releases in 2009.

Gaslight Anythem The '59 Sound Out on August 19th

The ’59 Sound could only start out one way: with the sound of a record player needle set down on a scratched-up record. Although New Brunswick, New Jersey’s The Gaslight Anthem have only technically been a band for two-and-a-half years, in that short amount of time they’ve managed to become one of the punk underground’s most celebrated acts, spurring a cultish fan base with their music and completing successful tours with acts like Against Me!, the Loved Ones and the Bouncing Souls. If The Gaslight Anthem’s ascent from an obscure New Jersey band to punk message board favorites seems sudden to you, imagine what it’s like to actually be in the band. “Things have happened so fast for us that we haven’t really had time to sit back and reflect or go ‘What just happened?’” candidly admits front man Brian Fallon. “I can’t say that we were prepared for any of this at all; I’m just very grateful that we’re here.”

Let Me Run Updates!

Just to let everyone know Let Me Run is still hard at work in the studio, we actually just had Brian Fallon in to do some guest vocals! Everything is sounding great and is far exceeding any of our expectations. Since things are taking a little bit longer than expected we are going to push back the release date for "Meet Me at the Bottom". The new release date until then take a sneak peak on what the boys have been working on, one of their newest songs "Bastard Sons of Mayhem is currently featured on our Myspace page.

Happy Birthday
